A Compton gas station has been looted multiple times by large mobs, causing over $200,000 in damages. Owner Ali Misaghi says employees are traumatized and law enforcement has failed to respond. Despite repeated pleas for help, no arrests have been made. On July 14, 2025, coordinated street takeovers in Long Beach and South Los Angeles led to looting, vandalism, and business devastation. J & G Market, El Super, Walgreens, and others were hit. The Citizens Coalition for Change condemned the lawlessness and called for urgent action: deployment of surveillance tech, real-time monitoring, facial recognition, stricter laws, and fast-track courts. “Let’s take back our communities.”
