The story of Dulan’s is about far more than saving a single restaurant—it represents the kind of community South Los Angeles wants to be. When longtime Black-owned businesses close, the community loses more than a place to eat; it loses cultural anchors, spaces for connection, and parts of its collective identity. For decades, Dulan’s has employed residents, supported neighborhood suppliers, and woven itself into Crenshaw's social and economic fabric.
Assistance could be direct financial investment, introductions to aligned partners, or simply spreading the word to build momentum. Every contribution of support matters. The urgency is real and immediate. With foreclosure looming as of September 6, time is measured in days, not weeks. Yet there is still hope: if the right partner steps forward, this story can be rewritten.
